Travis Boley and Victoria Boley
Clinton Lake, June 9, 2007, by Carl Parks

The Friday night meeting was held at the Weldon Village Hall where the anglers and thier famalies were treated to cold cut sandwhiches and chips with cookies for dessert. There were 14 teams reprsented at the meeting and we heard another wonderful message from the Word of God. Our Director Carl Parks gave the message about "faith without deeds". Now that we have heard the Gospel what are we going to do with it? The scripture that was read was James 2:14-24. This about how are faith and are deeds work together and how one is no good without the other. Also in Matthew chapter 25:14-30 talks about how a mans' servants were given talents (money). One was given five and one was given two and one was given one. When the master returned two of them had doubled their talents and the master said come and share in your masters happiness. The servant who was given one buried it because he knew that his master was a hard man. His master replied you wicked lazy servant! He also said to take the talent and give it to the one who has ten talents and throw that worthless servant outside into the darkness where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. Now that we have the words of life what are we going to do with it? Share the Gospel with someone you know and you will be multiplying what God has given you and He will say well done good and faithful servant, come and share in your masters happiness. Amen! Afterward four people gave their lives to Jesus and three people rededicated their lives to Christ. All the glory to God!
